Just completed another task as a volunteer for MacMillan delivered 200 postcards over two evenings. Got some exercise in and felt like I was doing something useful for a change.
Yesterday I had a lovely aromatherapy massage from the hospice which having never had a proper one I can honestly say it helped but was overcome with emotion when it finished. For a while you just forget your troubles.
I later delivered 100 cards I should have done it the other round as I still found I was awake at 2am then between 4-5am. .
You just go from being a happily married wife to carer to nothing definitely no routine or purpose to my life at the moment, I’m lying on the floor candle burning trying to relax again cuddling the cushion I got made from my husbands shirt, feeling lonesome. One positive point though I didn’t get teary on my walk I was on a mission I suppose to get the job done I signed up for!!! xxx
Well done . Sorry you're still not sleeping, it's yet another thing, having to adjust to.
