My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa
Happy Valentines Day and Kung Hei Fat Choy everyone xxx
Sunday morning and I cant lie in!!! Oh well at least I dont have to get up even though I m awake lol
Lesley sounds like you had a good day, I must admit I got a bit bored later on in the afternoon yesterday. I need to find something to do at weekends. Paul and I used to go to our local for a couple if we werent out on our bikes but I dont really want to do that all the time. I do have a lot of friends that go in there but I m trying to be good with going to the gym and such. Roll on the summer when I can get out in the garden again.
Rosemary it sounds like Steve`s friend was thrilled with the photos. Lovely thought for him x
Fiona glad you had a good night with the family. Manda are you all packed and ready?
Patricia a friend of mine went to see Wicked and said it was fantastic. So many good shows to see, that`s on my list of things to do this year!!
I m going to the gym this morning and desperately need to clean the inside of the car, took it to the hand wash yesterday so outside is shining!!

Morning all. It's a shame Les Mis has finished in Manchester Lesley. Maybe there is something else we can plan to see instead. I live in Barnsley so it looks like Lynne, Manda, Patricia, you & I all live within striking distance of each other. The chance to meet seems too good to miss. I haven't got a free weekend until after the 'big meet' but after that I'm up for meeting and doing something.
I went to the local theatre last night and had a lovely time. I went with a couple who are neighbours & both worked with Chris. We saw Black Adder and it was really funny. I was a lot more aware that these were people acting than I am when I watch TV. I was very impressed. We had a lovely meal beforehand as well.
Thanks for the tip about Wicked Patricia. I will be seeing my sister at Becky's next weekend so I will see if we can make some plans for my first trip into London to see a show.
Fiona it is so nice that Darren is home and telling you all about his trip. I am curious about your psychic tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.
Rosemary sounds like you had a good but exhausting day yesterday. It is a lovely feeling giving something of Steve's to someone who you know will really appreciate it isn't it? And you are right - I am having a bit of a wobble. It's as much my own fault though. I am doing too much but in my usual way I am always going to slow down when I have just finished this next thing.....!! I will figure it out but for now I have something planned every evening after work until a week on Tuesday! That isn't even a joke. Makes me stressed, makes my breathing go funny and then I get mad with myself, then I cry. Being busy is nothing new for me but Chris always stopped me doing it and took me off out somewhere away from my jobs. Without him doing that I get carried away. I know the problem so it is up to me to work out the solution.
Sorry - that is not the best way to start a lovely sunny Sunday morning. It looks like it is going to be a nice day here so I can get the balloon and flowers through to the cemmy later. Take care everyone. Ailsa xxx
to all our dear friends here, from Napoleon and his human xxxx
Morning ladies & Dave,
Hope you are all well. Rosemary - loved the story about the photographs, Lynne - sorry to hear your Dad didn't get the tube out and hopefully things go better this week, Fiona - glad you have Darren back safe and sound and let us know how you get on at the psychic. Ailsa - take care of yourself xx
Well had quite a busy week but in a funny mood. Feeling a bit numb again. Bloody valentines day !! lol. Woke up this morning and lay for about 10mins but then the tears started (I very rarely cry) so had to jump up and get on - I won't let myself get pulled down again. Went out on Friday night with my old friend that I met last weekend so that was a good laugh, then had lunch with my best friend yesterday with the kids and we all went to soft play. I also finally finished cleaning out my wardrobe and drawers last night so never sat down till after 10 which was good. Not got much planned for today apart from my usual Sunday which is cleaning and getting sorted for the week ahead. The kids are staying at my mum and dads tonight as the schools are off for 3 days so I will get peace tonight. Off out tomorrow night with 3 friends to the pub so looking forward to that.
Anyway, best go as the hoover is calling. Take care and hope you all get through the day.

Morning All. Well i have not got started on the cleaning yet, i had a really bad night never closed my eyes till 4 this morning just had a good cry and i think every now and then you just realise this is your life from now on, and you just wish it would go back to before all this nightmare happened. I have been sleeping not bad lately so don't know what brought it on, so feeling down today, and the usual wondering why me. But i must get on with it so just going to get flowers and go to cemmy and pop in and see Charlie that might help. Hope everyone else is doing ok and you all have a good Sun and who ever is on hols enjoy them. Luv and Hugs to you all (Moaning Minnie) Fiona xxxxxxxxx

Hi everyone
I have forgotten my pad and pen so this will probably be quite random and I am sure to leave someone out - so forgive me now!
Ailsa hun, I don't have any suggestions as to how to get you to slow down, but I think that you really must try, I don' t like to hear of you getting 'breathy' so I think that you should look at your calendar and block out two separate evenins and when you are then planning your 'jobs' consider those two evenings as already busy and try to pretend that you are not available for anything else. Then find something that you would like to do and is quite relaxing and literally book it into those eveings.
Now you see, I read and took in where everybody lived ... and already I can't remember who is where!! Fiona, thanks for the heads up about Les Mis in Edinburgh, I will have a look in a minute and see when exactly and if there are seats left. I suspect that you mind was just racing with Darrren coming home, it is very understandable, and it may take a day or two for your brain to slow down again. You are right, suddenly it can seem to hit again that 'this is how it is now' Hugs to you hun.
Lynne, hopefully this is the week that your Dad can get his tube out, fingers crossed hun. Rosemary, Samantha sounds such wonderful girl - I can just imagine her explaining that she WOULD be getting her tube out ........ I think she takes after her mother! lol.
Lesley, good on you for taking yourself off for the day and wandering round the markets, you shoudl be very proud of yourself hun. Gayle, are you still coming up the week after next? I hope so. Oh and by the way ....... give yourself a break would you!!!! We all loves ya. And stop tidying and cleaning so much, you're making me feel bad!
I have actually ended up having a lovely tewenty four hours. I was round to a friends house last night for the evening and they alwasy insist I take the hounds. So off I trot, hounds on leads, two large dog duvets rolled up because they have tiled floors and my little precious ones can't lie on them, a bottle of wine, a bag with doggie bits etc - all ready to walk the mile to their house. I have a feeling that I must look like a 'bag lady' and that if I stopped then I might be asked for a copy of the Big Issue!! But it was a lovely evening and Andy (the husband) had bought a box with a mini bottle of champagne and truffles in it for me for Valentines Day!!! Okay, I know, I also think that it was his wife, Olive, that did it, but he said it was him! lol. Then at eleven this morning I got a text from another couple asking if I would join them for lunch at the local hotel, so I am just back from a lovely lunch, (again with champagne - god I am lucky with my friends!) and am just chillin' now.
I think I have used up my allocated number of words now so will sneak back later when 'Mac' is not looking and catch up with everyone else. Until then, love to you all - Manda, Patricia, Dave, Bren, Sue, Helen, Dottee and a special hug to those I have undoubtedly forgotten to mention. Judi xxxxx
Hello Everyone - just a quick post before I try and get an early night... Glad to hear that you have all got through today one way or another. H and I have been busy finishing the packing and we treated ourselves to a dominos pizza for tea. Not too exciting, but we knew we were going to be on our own today so we have kept our heads sown and got on with it!
With typical bad timing, we have both come down with sticking colds this weekend, but have packed plenty of beechams and menthol sweets... Will try and look in and see how you are all doing while we are away - if not I will never catch up!
Thanks for all your well-wishes for a safe trip. speak soon,
Manda xx
