My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Can you pop into school before Thursday just to see a few people. I found that helped, I just went in for a coffee and saw a few of the staff. Didn`t feel so bad on the first day back then. I`m sure a few of them will be in sorting classrooms etc early next week

i went in a few times at the end of last term and i've seen a lot of the staff, they have been incredibly supportive. My headteacher closed the school for Alan's funeral so that all the staff could come, and he gave a tribute because Alan was a governor for 12 years and everyone knew him well. he did loads of voluntary work at the school as well so the children knew him,and i had loads of cards and flowers from them and the parents.

    Hi everyone,

Helen well done to your son for passing his driving test.

Everyone who's had a tearful weekend sorry you had a rotten time, but they do get better.

I'm of back to Devon on Friday for a short break again, my dad is having Brad and I'm going to take advantage of his offer and spend time there.

You all take care and see you later.

    Kev xx
