My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Hi All , i hope your ok at the wedding Helen , do you know what song it is there playing ? I want everybody to say ahh now i'm feelin really sorry for my self , i,ve beeb struggleing with toothache for a few days but was trying to ignore it , took loads of pain killers but they didn't take it off today , so i called the dentist and they fit me in at 2 oclock , when he looked at it he said he would have to take it out next week , well i said i couldn't go all weekend like this (especially this weekend ) so he said he would take it out if i paid privately (59 pound ) so i said i'd pay , well i had to go back at 4.30 and out it came ,, i was ok in the dentist but when i came out the floodgates opened , i would normally have phoned Gordon for a few reasuring words so i felt worse than ever , i drove to the church yard still bleeding and had a good cry there , why is it that the littlest thing can set you back like this , not sure if its because i'm building up to tommorow . Thank you for the comments about the wreath , i take flowers nearlly everyday so i thpoughti would do something different . Sue i need to see one of your funny pictures now please .

Hello everyone. I had a couple fo drinks with friends this afternoon. It was really nice but I still take my van and don't let myself have anymore than 2 halfs. Some of the ones I am closest to knew Chris and I am absolutely certain that if I let my hair down, left the van at home and had a couple more drinks I would get very upset. One friend asked me if I minded talking about Chris and of course I said no, I love to talk about him. We did some remenising (spelling??). One girl asked me if I will seriously consider leaving the van at home next time we meet for drinks - we do it about once a month. I promised to think about it but I am really afriad of breaking down under the influence. I am on holiday for the September meet as it is very close to this one due to someone leaving but I will be able to go to the October one. Lets see if I feel strong enough to have a proper drink with them then.
Maybe I need a little of what your kitten is rolling in your picture Sue?! - but I don't smoke so hey-ho. Is there any news on how kitty is doing?
I hope you stay painfree Lynne. I will be thinking about you tomorrow. The wreath is a lovely idea.
Helen - have a lovely time tonight. It is wonderful that they want to play a song in Paul's memory and I am sure that being amoung friend it really won't matter how you react. Please let us know tomorrow what song they played.
You did the right thing taking the diazapan Fiona. You need to sleep and that is just a little help.
How are Kev and Kaz this evening?
I will be thinking about you as well tomorrow Gayle, with your son's birthday party and then his football on Sunday. You are doing a great job.
I hope everyone has a good evening. I have Stu & Suzanne here again tonight. They are on guitar hero again and I am about to make us something to eat. I will be up an at the decorating tomorrow morning - inspired by Helen.
    Take care everyone. Ailsa xx

Poor Kaz everything happens at once doesn't it , this week my mobile broke , freezer stopped working and my hoover wouldn't pick up just blew everything round .I'd got a spare mobile , threw everthing away out the freezer (not that much) and decided i'm never hoovering ever again , sorted that out !! . Ailsa i've found drink doesn't make me more upset , nothing can change that , so i'd say go for it and try it ..
