My husband passed, away 2 November and although he was battling cancer it was sepsis that claimed his life. We had been together for more than 40 years and I am completely lost.  He was,a lovely man and a fantastic partner and I have tried to think of myself as lucky to have had his love and support for so.long but he,was my best friend and I miss him so.much. I am surrounded by good friends and family but am so.lonely. I am trying to take it one day at a time but it is,so hard.

  • Gordie, as we all know, life is very short, you have to grab happiness when you can, I’m pleased that you have found this. The song is beautiful but I can’t listen as any Pipe music makes me cry. His funeral was very moving, it was a very traditional Scottish theme throughout the whole service. He loved Amazing Grace. I left the service in tears, I can’t listen to any pipe music just now, maybe in the future.  I used to get up in middle of night to see if he was ok and he would be listening to his pipe music, sometimes with tears in his eyes. Be happy, I’m so pleased for you.xxx

  • I can’t find the words to say to you and I can’t imagine how you must be feeling, I’ve had cancer and getting told that is massive. I will pray for a miracle cure for you, There are breakthroughs all the time and new trials. I can only send massive hugs to you. Xxxxxxx

  • Thanks Charlie, believe it or not, i have been known to tear up in the middle of a parade, especially massed bands or rememberance Sunday.

If you are able, read the lyrics without playing the tune. Those are special and touch my heart.

    Hugs x

  • Gordie, I will try, take care xxx

  • Hi Charlie, sorry, only do it if you are ready xx
