I lost my beautiful wife on Thursday after she bravely took on Cancer for the 2nd time after beating it once. It seems so unfair that she had beaten it once only for it to come back again.

I was so lucky to have been with Nancy for 32 years but still feel cheated.

Thanks to the fantastic support at the Mountbatten Hospice Nancy passed away peacefully and beautifully.

I was able to express to her how wonderful she was and how much I loved her and how much she was loved by all her met her.

I just wanted to say to anyone who is on this forum that as much as it hurts in the end I believe Nancy made the choice to move on.

I have nothing but admiration for those who are fighting this terrible disease , their families and the support teams.

So as much as it hurts I know Nancy had battled enough and as we looked at each other with me as always having the last word it was time for her to rest.

Thank you Nancy and take care everyone!!

I am so sorry to read of the loss of your beautiful wife, it is sad to read that this was her second battle with cancer, but your words truly show her strength as she beat the cancer the first time around and as you say, you believe that Nancy made the choice to move on, that shows such strength in itself.

I am thinking of you, 32 years is a great amount of time to have made so many memories, I do hope that for much of the time you are able to focus on the happier ones.

Should you want to chat further, and if you haven't already, there is an Emotional Support Forum where others will have an understanding or experience of how you may be feeling.. We are here for you if you need us.
