Hello all - I'm new to this site but have read a few blogs pertinent to my own bc problems regarding side effects from Letrozole.
I first had bc (DCIS) in 1999. Treatment was lumpectomy and radiation.
2013, second diagnosis, primary, st 1, grade 2, no spread - lumpectomy and radiation , Arimidex (side effects so changed to Letrozole).
2015, third diagnosis, primary in same breast as original DCIS, mastectomy, Tamoxifen - affected kidneys so put back on Letrozole.

I had the lump removed and a sentinel node biopsy yesterday. I went in at 7.30 am. I was taken down for radioactive injection in the morning. It was a little painful as radiologist explained it was going between layers of skin. I read a book and listened to music. I got so hungry because I hadn't eaten since the night before. Well, I've negotiated my way through 4 sessions of FLOT chemo. Next hurdle coming up is "the biggie"! In four hours I'll be making my way to hospital and will undergo a gastrectomy tomorrow. Hi all, well after a year and a half of treatment and operation i had my ct and mri scans. Saw my surgeon last week and no sign of cancer.will be having scans every 3 months which is the norm i think. I haven't been back to work yet due to me still having pain in my bowel. My husband has just lost his Sister, at just 36. She leaves behind 3 young boys, a mother, father and 2 brothers. The funeral is next week and everyone else is getting in to the festive spirit, but all I am thinking about is how my friend and my sister in law is not here anymore. I am giving as much support as I can for my husband and his family. I had 6 cycles of Chemotherapy (R-EPOCH) totalling 750+ hrs, 45 Radiotherapy Sessions, 2 Allo SCTs, Total Body Irradiation and ATG (anti-thymocyte globulin) and lots a various Chemo conditioning - Issues were inevitable. My main SCT Consultant likened the physical process of Allo SCT treatment as going through a boxing match and running a marathon every day I was in hospital and I had not done any training for it and I did it twice.
