Well we are only on day 4 of Radiotherapy and 2 Chemotherapy sessions and this morning hubby was requiring the bathroom rather quickly, said he was feeling a little offish all day and tired. Radiotherapy went okay although he still hates that bloody mask. His neck and throat is already red from the radiotherapy and he is now starting to using his E45 cream and the mouth wash he was given, he also sounds a tad hoarse today.
Worrying now what he will be like over the next couple of weeks especially...

What do I have to talk to you about tonight? What has been happening to me since the last blog that may be of interest?
Not a lot, I am still struggling with my radiation burns and spent Tuesday morning in hospital hoping there was a magic cure whilst knowing in reality the only cure is time. I am assured by next week I will feel better. Just need to tread water until then.
I think it is the time of year but lately I have been struggling and trying to grapple with the whole idea of not...
Hi Guys well the other half had his 3rd radiotherapy treatment today, must be getting used to it already in and out within 15 minutes and the best part he was in 15 minutes earlier today. No changes in himself at this moment in time. Long may this continue.
Second day of radiotherapy, drove the 100 miles round trip. Late again in the radiotherapy room, not a problem swings and roundabouts the hubby said. 10 minutes in treatment room. Not such a problem with mask today still detested but needs must.
Picked up a box of Calphosol 4 to 10 times a day mouth wash, hubby says the number of times he uses that, the normal mouth was and brushing his teeth he may as well move in the bathroom, not likely we only have the one.
All is well today no issues...
...... only 3 to go!!!!!!!! Am so looking forward to Friday - that's the day we can go home - have been staying in London for the 5 week duration of my 'radio' - so looking forward to our own bed, our own toilet ohhh just being HOME
Have had enough of this 'radio' lark as well for now - going 'home' to recover then back to the RM early January for Pre Op Assessment then surgery on the 20th - but for now am just happy to be going home.
Since receiving the scan results, met with the specialist and the official you're in remission, it's all feeling real. I have completed cycle 5 and am on day5 of the final cycle. The final chemo session is on Wednesday, although another blood transfusion is needed and they are aiming to do it all on same day. Which will be hard as the chemo drugs normally throw me. Please may the rest of blood count be upto it.

I finished my four week chemo-radiation course on Monday. Dr Oncologist warned me about the nasty side effects, the diarrhoea, the loss of hair locally, making me infertile and giving me the early menopause and maybe some skin discomfort. I was not prepared for the radiation burns to my most delicate 'areas'. I was assured that radiotherapy would be much easier to undergo...
I have pleasure in writing to inform you that your recent scan results have been reviewed and confirm that all is normal.
4 weeks after the scan we figured all was ok. Bad news travels faster. But good to see in writing.
So life 2 years on - Loperamide is a store cupboard basic. Habits change frequently.
We made a holiday abroad - beware of air pressure changes during flight. . .

Last year I was treated for a Stage 1 Seminoma, which consisted of removing one testicle with a tumor (measuring 48mm) and one single high dose of carboplatin which was both preventative and to also treat two further suspected tumors in each of my abdominal lymph nodes (measuring <1mm each). I' was relieved to hear that it was a success, a little over a year ago now.
we all know all too well the persistent side effects, which you'd naturally research and bring up...

I am almost at the end of 6 months of intensive treatment. Twelve weeks of harsh chemotherapy and four weeks of chemo-radiation.
2015 has definitely proved to my well our annus horribilis. This time last year I was looking forward to Christmas as I always do...I adore Christmas. This year is different. This year it is almost an afterthought. I am struggling to get excited as there is no guarantee there will be another one. I hope there will be but there is that little...
