Finally received my results letter following my hysteroscopy 25 days ago. The longest wait of my life!
The polyp removed was benign (yay) but the biopsy taken from my womb showed overreacting cells called Complex Hyperplasia. I'm not sure if it's with or without atypia.
So it's just pre cancer and not full blown cancer.
The consultant suggests a Mirena Coil and I have an appointment with her in 5 weeks time.
Not sure how I feel at the moment. Obviously I'm glad it's not cancer...
I feel tired emotionaly and mentally ..I live on my own with my autistic son and work full time ..my partner has a grade 3 brain tumour ..it's really hard seeing the man I love struggle with life ..we have just been through esa appeal process to get his esa reinstated which left him with no money coming in for 9 weeks ..it's really taken a toll on him mentally and myself making phone calls and doing appeal forms ..I worry so much about him ..I just feel exhausted and feel today a funny feeling of...
It's a lovely day in Bristol this morning. I shall take advantage and get some shopping done. I'll be off my feet for a few days after the op tomorrow so may as well prepare. I shall get loads of spring water cos I have to drink a couple of litres a day plus for the first week. A bit nervous about the anaesthetic but not too much. Wondering what my prognosis and any further treatment will be...
I am beginning to get a bit nervous. Only two more sleeps. I have packed a small bag but doubt I'll have to stay in or anything. It's a step nearer to relieving the uncertainty. I hope and pray my result is treatable.
Hello all!
I have no excuses. I have been lax and should have attempted a blog before now. Lets face it, there has been ample opportunity with the amount of time I have spent in hospital or hospice. Maybe I should have been blogging instead of watching back episodes of Supervet.
Thing is. I just didn't feel like it. I couldn't seem to raise the energy to get the laptop out or the energy to get my brain moving. I guess you could blame that on drugs or really being incapable (which on some...
I should get my results letter tomorrow or Tuesday, fingers crossed!
The last few days I've been plagued by a cold and I've gone through hundreds of tissues!
Last night I had nausea and cramps and this morning I've got very bad cramps and a dodgey stomach! Plus headaches and backache it's safe to say I'm feeling sorry for myself.
Quite proud that I've been so patient for this long but it's running out and I just want to know!
I'll do an update when I've received...
I am pleased with myself. I needed a dressing gown for hospital but having to put £60 away for bus fares and taxis next week meant I couldn't buy a new one. I just checked one of the local charity shops and picked up an almost new, anklelength, hooded bathrobe for £1.50!
I'm in a bit of pain today, wee is a bit pink. Luckily I just picked up my Tramadol prescription. I've taken two so it should ease off soon. I'm still relatively calm. Reading everything I can find on bladder cancer...
Consultants oncology and surgical agree I can have 3rd rchop - done last Tuesday and all ok after 2 days - a bit constipated
Consultants agreed to leave fistula and intestine wear and tear exposed by shrinking lymphoma (hurrah) until later
But on low residue diet so doubtless constipation will get worse?
Still - feel fine today
Five days to go and I'm wondering what to expect after the TURBT. I have barely any pain at present but I have a prescription for painkillers ready for Tuesday if I need them. I got some pantyliners in too. I'm cooking for the freezer this week so neither of us will need to do too much cooking in the first few days. Any other tips welcome.
It's six days til my op. My kidneys look clear on the ultrasound but I haven't heard about the CT scan results yet. I'm pretty calm about the op at the moment. We've had to put fifty pounds away for taxi after the op. At times like this I wish I'd learned to drive.
