I spoke today to the GP who called the ambulance for S. on the 31st of May when all this bollox first started . I thanked him and told him that he probably saved S.'s life . I told him rougly what the state of play is re. S.'s illness He thanked me for the call and did say that he did think it was ovarian cancer when he saw how distended S.'s stomach was when he saw her on the 31st. I bit my tongue , thanked…

S. had an appetite today . Lunch was 1/2 a chopped apple , 1/2 a chopped avocado and 1/2 a chopped carrot . Not really exciting but she ate it and it stayed down . Dinner was 1/2 an apple , 1/4 of a whole cucumber and some grapes . Again , it was eaten and she didn't get sick but she went to bed at 8pm and would sleep 14 hours . S. and I were visited today by our friend and her son . They both cheered S. up and it was nice to see them . I didn't think that I was quiet and held it together quite well . Friend told me to be strong re. S's illness . I said that I had to be cold and hard rather than strong . I was my way of dealing with things . I imagined that S. seeing different faces rather than mine all the time was a godsend.…

I made a phone call to S's current macmillan nurse re. Jack the Ripper . I told her that I didn't want her having ANYTHING to do with S's illness and care . I told her that S. knew that I was making this phone call and that S. knew how I felt about the situation . I also informed the Mac nurse that s. was have stomach pains . S. received a letter which was a copy of the one her hospital consultant / surgeon was sending to her GP.
