Sunday 10/7/16.
S. and I were visited today by our friend and her son . They both cheered S. up and it was nice to see them . I didn't think that I was quiet and held it together quite well . Friend told me to be strong re. S's illness . I said that I had to be cold and hard rather than strong . I was my way of dealing with things . I imagined that S. seeing different faces rather than mine all the time was a godsend. But again , S. had no appetite all day but kept up her fluid intake . She was quite tired by the end of the day and I could see that her stomach was distended again and that her hands were shaking . That , with the tiredness , were the same symptons she had in hospital when the infection took hold . But no one listenes to me .
