    I arrived this morning in a more upbeat mood.....god knows why . ..........for S to tell me that she had not being given her meds the night before . My good mood disappeared . But the missing meds was only half the story , as I was to find out later that day . 
    I had told S of the public / staff restaurant and she wanted some different surrondings and some exercise . So we walked to the restaurant , had a bite to…

    Tuesday 7/6.
    This morning bought a visit from S's appointed Macmillan nurse. I'll call her 'Jack' for now. So , I left Jack and S to chat privately on this first meet . But , at no point did Jack say to me that when I returned she would chat to both of us at the same time about what is and was going to happen re. care and treatment . When i got back , s told me Jack left me a leaflet !! Great ...........I'M IN A HURRICANE…

    Mon 6/6.
    We were visited by another Oncology nurse this morning , who said that S was being moved later this morning . I asked if there were anymore surprises re. S's illness as she came in with kidney failure , which now corrected itself , but was hit with the 2 shadows being ovarian cancer . I was assured that there were no other surprises. So , baggage train set off at 11am and S was placed in a small 8 bed ward. So…

    Sunday 5/6.
    I arrived to find S in pain after the medical staff missed her vein last night and pumped meds straight into her arm , which ended up several times the size it should be . So ..........another fecking drain was to come because of this at a later date. The green gunk drain was removed so S could have a shower and wash her hair , assisted by me. During the day we were informed that S was to be moved to a specialist…

    Sat 4/6.
    So.........another night sleeping in a chair next to S. and a welcome visit by a friend of ours. But before the latter , S had a drain put in to syphon off 9 LITRES of waht can only be descibed as 'british racing green' in colour , gunk ! This liquid , according to a duty nurse or doctor , I forget which , was the infection that was being held in S's body and was making her ill since the start of the year ...…
