So.........another night sleeping in a chair next to S. and a welcome visit by a friend of ours. But before the latter , S had a drain put in to syphon off 9 LITRES of waht can only be descibed as 'british racing green' in colour , gunk ! This liquid , according to a duty nurse or doctor , I forget which , was the infection that was being held in S's body and was making her ill since the start of the year ................which was missed by the dozy bastards at her GP surgery . The nurse was taking litre after litre away , then a differnce of treatment occured between nurse and doctor re. how long to apply . After another game of ' hunt the vein' for more blood to be tested and temperature taken due to the infection , things settled down . Our friend gave me a lift to S's home just to have a night away from the hospital , have a proper wash and some rest and sleep . But that didn't happen . Three hours sleep , lots of pacing around , lots of going into rooms and not knowing why and lots of conversations with myself.
