Tues. 14/6
Went back to work this evening after being away for two weeks . My liner manager was understanding , sympathetic and supportive and would fight my corner re. compassionate leave . His line manager was also these things too . The night came and went . Lots of pacing around , lots of conversations with myself , lots of planning...........hoping for the best , preparing for the worse.
Mon 13 / 6.
A colleague of S's came for a visit today . His arrival really cheered S up as he kept her updated with gossip and news. He also offered his driving services. Also ..........I found more out re. S's hospital stay. The SECOND drain was to get rid of the stuff they pumped into her body after MISSING her vein in her arm and making her arm balloon to three times it's size.
Sat 11/6.
S is coming home today and doesn't have to come back on Monday next week . Thank fuck for that . But even today they STILL couldn't help from fucking up and not singing from the same hymn sheet .
We had to wait for the pharmacist to issue , we were told , TWO WEEKS worth of meds .....which then turned into ONE WEEK. More of that later.

Fri 10/6.
Arrived in a good mood but the Macmillan nurse soon put a stop to that . S was in so much pain that she wasn't going to be set free today as the hospital wanted to pain-manage her do to all the drains attached to her previously .
And so we come to this................
The macmillan nurse came in said hello and then said to S ...." so , you've decided to have it all taken out . "

So......a CT scan on the quick . So quick that if I had gone to lunch .....that being what the hospital staff encouraged families to do whilst patients had theirs , I would have missed this . So the hospital bed train arrives in CT ............porter , S on her bed , porter , then me ......me wearing a very yellow polo shirt.You really couldn't miss me .
