... a visit to the Oncologist. We were also told that full bloods & liver function tests were required before Monday's 2nd chemo cycle so we did the blood clinic on Thurs too. It was quite funny because Oncology Ward had told us to ignore any queues and ticket numbering at the Blood Clinic and go straight to the desk (they don't want you spending any time anywhere near 'sick' folk.) Here we are at the beginning of week 3 of Chemo. I suppose generally everything is going great. We had a bit of a dip this weekend as everything hubby ate went straight through his system. I stopped juicing.... He's just not good at being ill probably because he's hardly been ill in his life. The past couple of days started off ok but then everytime he had a meal he developed cramps in his stomach (no nausea) and so…

He came back on Thursday feeling ok - bit tired - but ok. He is amazing. I have struggled all week to convince him that he needs to rest more but I needn't have worried as by Saturday he was eager himself to have an afternoon nap…

So, hubby escaped hospital at 5am. We were at home by 5:15am having freshly made juice, toast/Manuka honey. All has gone very well indeed. Lunch on the patio.... half hour mid afternoon nap (mainly because he had not slept at all the previous night)... dinner & even wine! Seems too good to be true. During dinner, he started hiccupping. It's now 9pm and he hasn't stopped. A quick trawl on the internet and lo and behold…
