It's nearly 3 years since my initial diagnosis.  At the last check a couple of weeks ago my PSA was 0.8 so nothing to get concerned about.  I'm still on 3 monthly Zoladex injections plus Bicalutimide.  I experience side effects such as hot flushes, joint aches and fatigue as well as complete erectile dysfunction but I bear all of these with stoicism as life is for living.  My band The High Mileage Blues Band www…

It's been a while since I've visited these pages.  To be honest I depressed myself reading some of the posts in the Prostate Cancer Group.  The sufferers tend to accept their lot with stoicism but unfortunately the families get very upset.  For a lot of us there's no happy ending to this damn thing so it's best to live each day at a time.

Just had my 60th birthday and threw a party where both my bands played. Had a great…

Just got back from a lovely holiday in Interlaken, Switzerland.  Stunning scenery!  Did lots of walking and pleased that my energy levels are still good.  In Switzerland you take the train to the top of the mountain and walk down whilst enjoying the view.

Took the onc's advice and looked into releasing the equity from an AVC I'd been paying into for years.  The pension company, bless 'em, put me in touch with a company…
