It's nearly 3 years since my initial diagnosis. At the last check a couple of weeks ago my PSA was 0.8 so nothing to get concerned about. I'm still on 3 monthly Zoladex injections plus Bicalutimide. I experience side effects such as hot flushes, joint aches and fatigue as well as complete erectile dysfunction but I bear all of these with stoicism as life is for living. My band The High Mileage Blues Band www.highmileageband.co.uk have been quite busy through the year playing outdoor festivals as well as pub and club gigs. They are a great bunch of people and give me a purpose in life. I have also taken up archery, which keeps me fit (looking for the lost arrows) and gives me a challenge (I WILL hit that damn target).
In September my wife and I went to Xcaret in Mexico. We had a wonderful time and I crossed two things of my bucket list, swimming with dolphins and visiting the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza.
