    I have just came back from the hospital from seeing dad and his consultant, dad is still the same, I knew when the consultant came to find me it was bad news.  Dad is in the final stages now, I now have the hard job of going to tell mum as she is still at home I am just waiting for her brother to take me over to her.  My grandma has now taken ill as well she has diabetes and has been having hypos for the past week so when…

    Yesterday mum called me and asked me to come over and see dad as he was not right, I went over and when I got there he was like in a catatonic state, I dont even know if he knew I was there.  I called the out of hours service and managed to talk to his own GP who passed the information on to the GP who was going to come out and see him.  He could not walk to the toilet his legs kept giving out from beneath him.  I told the…

    During the night I had to get over to mum and dads, it all started when I called the pain clinic at the hospice as dads painkillers was not doing their job as the GPs dont seem to know much about hydromorphone I thought it was best to call the doctor that gave him the tablets, unfortunately she was off and I spoke to another doctor and told him dad was in a lot of pain he said because he did not know dad he didnt want…

    Well we went to the appointment at the pain clinic.  It seems his liver is now playing up his blood tests showed up something, they are going to re-do the test next week then act.  It doesnt help that dad has so much complications they are limited with what they can do for him, the steroids did not work so they have been stopped.  There is definately something different about dad just now, I think that the heart may be willing…
