    So the bags are packed and are waiting by the door. The tickets, passports and currency are there and the taxi is booked! All I need to do now is get some sleep as I will need to be up extra early. We aren't off anywhere exotic, just a few days in Belgium but I am so looking forwards to getting on that ferry.Just a change of scenery and someone else can do the cooking! Take care all, jazzx

    I have two adorable grandchildren both having their birthdays this month. Normally I shower them with gifts, but since my brush with cancer I began to think if this was really the right way to go, presents are soon used and discarded, books read, clothes grown out of. What is more important than memories. Of course they have lots of silly memories of the things we have done together but it seems much more important now…

    It's been quite a while since I blogged so maybe a little updating is needed. I am finally on the other side of the treatment regime, chemo and radiation is now complete. All I now have to put up with now is the dratted hormone therapy, lots of hot sweats and achy joints.I went back to work on the 2nd of June, a couple of phased in weeks whilst I finished radiation therapy, but am now full time, albeit on a reduced timetable…

    Yesterday I was at the hospital being marked up and put through the simulator ready for radiotherapy today. I must admit the tattoos were nowhere near as painfull as I thought, although couple had to be down twice.I do think though the breast gown could be made of some nicer material Navy blue is not really my colour anymore I also saw the doctor who prescribed the hormones I need to take along with a calcium and vit…

    Well I had my occy health interview the other week and was told it was fine for me to go back to work but then said it would be the head's final decision. So armed with the report I went in to see her today.Well we had a nice chat and I am back in work on 2nd June!!! I will work part time for a couple of weeks as I will still be having radiotherapy which starts on Wednesday and then can go back full time or take another…
