One down fourteen to go!

1 minute read time.
Yesterday I was at the hospital being marked up and put through the simulator ready for radiotherapy today. I must admit the tattoos were nowhere near as painfull as I thought, although couple had to be down twice.I do think though the breast gown could be made of some nicer material Navy blue is not really my colour anymore I also saw the doctor who prescribed the hormones I need to take along with a calcium and vit d supplement. Decided to wait whilst it went to pharmacy ( the usual long wait) and went to the hospital resteraunt( B*gg** I can never remember how to spell that word) and had a nice chicken curry for lunch. The journey wasn't too bad, three buses but all were on time. So this morning I decided to set off a little later. BIG MISTAKE! The journey took over half an hour longer, just because I left a few minutes later. Fortunately tomorrow's appointment is later in the morning so the journey should avoid rush hour. Mind you travelling on the bus does mean I can have a nap on the waywhich is very handt at the minute as I am so tired having spent most of the last two nights waking up every hour so that I wouldn't oversleep!! Take care all Jazzx

  • It seems a pain for you to have to make the journey every time.

My treatment was in Cheltenham which is about 30 miles away from my home. The hospital arranged transport by some very nice volunteers in their own cars to collect me and others and bought us back when we had finished.

Was like a club as the same patients were picked up and every time more or less.

Hope the next 14 go well. It is funny how quickly the time goes.

    Good Luck
