Moving onwards

Less than one minute read time.
It's been quite a while since I blogged so maybe a little updating is needed. I am finally on the other side of the treatment regime, chemo and radiation is now complete. All I now have to put up with now is the dratted hormone therapy, lots of hot sweats and achy joints.I went back to work on the 2nd of June, a couple of phased in weeks whilst I finished radiation therapy, but am now full time, albeit on a reduced timetable. My 11 year old granddaughter and I did the race for life a couple of weeks back and I managed a faster (walking) time than last year. I must admit I am looking forwards to the end of the week when the summer holidays start. I have my first post treatment with the consultant on the 5th of August and have a short holiday planned for the 17th, just across the channel to Belgium. No doubt I shall stock up on that lovely Belgian chocolate! take care all Kathx

Well done on the return to work and the Race for Life.  Hmm tropical moments, dripping hair - such a lovely look isn't it.  A friend showed me a spray, think its called magicool which helps, I'm going to look out for it - infact we've agreed whoever sees finds it we'll biy loads.  It seemed to help when I tried it.

Good luck with the consultant hope it all goes well.  Whereabout in Belgium are you going? It should be lovely and yes all that chocolate.

    Take care

  • Hi Kath,

I was pleased to see your blog and it is good you're out of the other side of the treatment regime. Yes, hormone treatment is fun (not!). On the subject of aching joints - I expected creaky knees or hips but they seem okay... it's my bl**dy elbows that ache! Trust me to be awkward. Enjoy the school holidays.

    Best wishes,

    KateG

I've always had dodgy knees and hips so am quite used to those creaks and aches, but the one that is the most annoying is my knuckles! Of all the stupid places to ache! TAke care
