    Well it's chemo 5 on Wednesday and apart from the tiredness things have not been too bad, the numbness in hands and feet hasn't worsened since the first cycle so I must not complain too much. In a moment of what i can only describe as chemo brain madness I managed to drown my pc ... I spilt a hot cup of tea over it and it spluttered and died. So obviously I had to go and get a new one.. off to the shops and returned with…

    Time contiues to fly by.. I cannot believe that I will be having the second round of this chemo on Wednesday. And I am really chuffed that I have only missed two and a half daysa off work. The side effects of the chemo have not been too bad, they all seemed to happen in the first few days and then apart from the general tiredness they seemed tosettle down. It is strange having numb fingertips though!

    So it's already half way through the first cycle...gosh, how time flies! The first few days were not particularly pleasant but thankfully no sickness, although I did feel queasy. Friday and Saturday were particularly grim, my joints hurt so much, but by Sunday that had passed. Jelly legs took over, but again they seem to have only lasted a few days. Tired..yes, but not too bad. Have worked four days this week, am taking…

    So have had a reasonably good night's sleep.... would have been much better if my husband had not woken me up at quarter to one asking if I ws going to work! Only physical side effects so far....... a little bit queasy and a funny tongue. However, I am very short tempered towards the old man. I think if I do not go to work tomorrow I will be arrested for husbandicide!!!

    Have to admit that the first chemo wasn't too bad. Was in work this morning, which really took my mind off what was to come..... you cannot be preoccupied when teaching children ! Only had a short wait at the chemo unit and .. joy of joys... cannula went in first attempt! No steroids needed, no anti-sickness meds given, so should be able to sleep tonight. The side effects with this chemo are supposed to be quite mild…
