    Well, it obviously was the anti-biotics causing both the skin & temperature problems for dad, as within 24 hours of stopping the antibiotics dad's temperature has stabilised (hooray!) and with a little help from some steroid friends the rash is already starting to recede. So, because of this dad has been told that he can come out on day release (that sounds great that, doesn't it..like he's in prison!!) for the day tomorrow…

    Dad had some really good news today when he got his bone marrow results....the test showed that there were no Leukaemia cells present in the sample and that his good cells were picking up nicely!! The doctors said how pleased they were with how well he had responded to the first cycle of treatment. It was great news for us all!! He is still feeling well, and but for his unstable temperature would be able to go home…

    Well, here we are...can't believe dad's been in hospital almost a month now. He's still feeling pretty good in himself, the only problem is his temperature which keeps going up and down like a yo-yo!! He was already having quite a lot of antibiotics and the docs decided that the problem could be coming from a fungal infection, so added another antibiotic to try combat that! I think dad's had more antibiotics these…

    Just got off the phone from dad. He's still feeling well but today his temperature has been a bit high. The docs had just taken him off a combination of antibiotics because they were causing a rash...and now he's back on more again!! They don't seem TOO concerned and said that they expected this at some point. It's good to hear him still so 'up' though. Was also just wondering if anyone can give me the answer to…

    Been over to see dad again today & he still looks remarkably well, considering what his body has been through these last couple of weeks. Officially the hospital is STILL closed to visitors because of the norovirus bug, but we we allowed to visit as long as we stayed in the garden & on of the day rooms. So that was nice.
