Hi dears,

My name is Lidia, and I was diagnosed with womb cancer the last Monday (08/12/2025).

I have done CT Scan and MRI for support the doctors decisions about my treatment pathway.

On the next Monday (15/12/25) Im going to a pre Assessment for total histerectomy and ovaries removing (I don't remember the name). I think the surgery will be after the Christmas.

I usually take care of my family, and now is very strange because they are trying to support me in everything.

I'm a very positive person despite of the situation. I have faith in God and I believe that everything is under His control. Obvisly I do my best. Actually my fear is related with my family and how much pressure they can support. I know probably they are more resilient than I can imagine, but it is my biggest concern.

I known womb cancer is a 'good' cancer, because usually is more curable than others. But, now I'm scared of being identified as kind of genetic disease and my sons can carry it with them.

I'm prepared to overcome this terrible time, and in the future share with you my testimony. For now I'm happy with all support on the NHS and here.

I have read a quote yesterday at the hospital. I'd like to share it with you

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate."

  • Hi Lidia

    Welcome to the group.

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis.

I hope that your appointment goes well on Monday. Hopefully your surgery will go ahead soon.

its natural to worry about those around you and especially when you are the one who normally looks after everyone else.

If there is anything you need, please do ask. We also have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm daily if you feel like it would help to talk things through.
