Hi , I’ve just been diagnosed with stage 1a grade2 endometrial cancer .. I’ve been so scared and now worrying that it’s spread in lymph nodes , how common is this please ?

  • That was good you were ok to go home the next day  Caraid, I hope I am .that’s .good you’ve recovered well .

I’m scheduled for robotic and yes going to listen to my body as I am a little to impatient and want to get on with things but realise it’s the insides that are healing .

  • Yes do try Maggies just drop in and you’ll get their list of weekly things that go on ! Once I’m more recovered I will participate in the exercise classes and art classes ! I’m very wiped out and have some discomfort and occasional pain. Surgery is no where near as bad as I stressed about .. I was like you my head was all over the place … feeling down, tearful not in control. but it’s normal so accept it and let it happen. My doctor said it’s good to grieve and go with the emotions of it all which really helped me. I had the MRI and chest scan to before seeing surgeon who explained it all.

I found it helpful to use my phone and record what he said. Like you I was unable to take in all the information.. so I wrote my queries down and got to speak to the Specialist nurses over the phone and later through surgeon secretary I was able to get a telephone call with the surgeon, I was also able to send emails which were passed onto surgeon. This all helped me get my thoughts down and to her the answers I needed to hear.
