Hi I’m 40 with 2 children I’ve been experiencing bleeding after sex and pain during with my husband and also dull ache around my pubic bone , I was refer by my GP for emergency 2 week appointment to a gynaecologists and had ultrasound and it shows I have cyst on my ovary and also my womb lining is thick , so the gynaecologist sent me for blood test to check CA125 levels and got have biopsy in 5 days times .
it all seems to be moving so fast which got me really worried
I’ve had a read on google (I know I shouldn’t ) and it seems to say it could be endometrial hyperplasia , which got me really worried . i don’t mind if I need to have hysterectomy because I’ve had issues with my ovary before and had dermoid cyst removed from my ovary in 2019 , they gynaecologists says the cyst I have now not a dermoid cyst , so if it stops all my issues .
I’ve recently had a hysterectomy for stage 1A, type 1 endometrial cancer, the histology results afterwards were good and I don’t need any further treatment. I understand this is common for 1A, type 1, but further treatment may be offered if it’s either more than 1A or a type 2/3. Good luck with the hysterectomy, don’t worry too much - mine wasn’t nearly as bad as I’d worried about!
Thank you for your reply and reassurance over the hysterectomy. I hope you are doing well still! X
Hi Ixshiv
Have you mentioned this to your doctor? This is something I would definitely be telling them so they have the full picture. It may or may not be related but it's better that they are aware.
Jane
Had biopsy today the doctor said cervix and womb lining look ok but can’t be 100% sure until results come in 4-8 weeks , she also fitted me with marina coil to help with heavy periods. My blood results also came back normal for the cyst on my ovary so they are not concerned about that . So hopefully the good news continues .
Hi
Yes I have had Backpain along with it affecting my sciatic nerve. Stupidly I forgot to mention this to my consultant. I had a hysteroscopy biopsy 2 weeks ago today and waiting on my results. Next time I go I will mention this but I do have a large fibroid that maybe pushing on something.
Hi Ixshiv
Just a heads up that the Mirena coil, in a few cases, can have the undesirable side effect of causing large and painful ovarian cysts. If your back pain increases to front or down legs, they may want to ultrasound to swiftly check monitor.
The Mirena coil otherwise can very effective.
