Hi, I’m new to this group with a diagnosis of ESS last week following a routine hysterectomy due to large fibroid.. 13cms ..
just waiting for the results of a CT scan to see if it’s spread.
I know this is a rare cancer, but anyone else out there with the same?
Jo x
I was a grade 1A….since it’s been back in my lungs I’ve not asked, and it’s not been discussed. I know it is incurable, and I feel blessed to have it back under control again x
Hi Jo, I’m still feeling a bit crap, but booked in for chemo on Monday, so I’ll go along and see if they think I’m ok to have it, fingers crossed.
It’s interesting that you have appointments with two surgeons. I could be wrong, but I think they perform robotic hysterectomies at Warwick, which are supposed to be more precise, with less risk of infection, but I’d have been very happy if I’d have had a consultation with a surgeon at the QE because that’s where the Sarcoma panel is based, so I’d expect a surgeon there to be more clued up about sarcomas
Hi Nzq21p
Bearski's post is 2 years old so she may not see your question.
I will pop a link to some info that may be of help.
Endometrial stromal sarcoma | Sarcoma UK
You may want to post a new thread/question to the forum to see if there is anyone currently with ESS.
