Hello everyone,
I’m brand new to this forum. I got uterine cancer a year and a half ago. Had surgery and nothing else needed. I have been regularly getting a weird looking discharge that sort of looks dark yellow/gold/tarnish. . I go for regular checkups with onc surgeon and she keeps telling me that some women just get this type of discharge. She thinks it’s vaginal atrophy. She tells me my exam is normal and to just use Replens. I’m worried she’s missing something and I’m having a recurrence. Has anyone else had weird discharges post hysterectomy? Thanks so much! Sharon
Hi Sharon I can’t answer yr question but welcome to the page there are lots of ladies on here who will be though I just had pink discharge that was the start of my womb cancer but unfortunately it had spread so I’m just going through chemo last one May 3rd take care and keep ousting

Hi Sharon22 and welcome to the group. I myself haven't suffered this particular discharge but everything I've read does point to vaginal atrophy and Replens is a frequently used vaginal moisturiser. Have you had your menopause yet? There's nothing in your profile/bio that gives us more details - It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and how you came to find yourself here. Why not take a few moments to update your profile. It's always helpful for us to read if we want to ask you questions and you also won't end up repeating yourself. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) . You can amend or update it at any time. If you’re not sure what to write, just click on my username.
Hopefully some of the other ladies will be along to answer your question.
You could also ask a nurse on the Macmillan Support helpline, freephone number is shown below.
