Today (15th) is Day 12 since the endometrial biopsy and another day of constantly waiting for the post to arrive … local postman thought I was waiting for Valentine’s cards to arrive yesterday Whatever the outcome, just want to know. It’s not late as it says results are usually ‘within 2 weeks’ but I’m being impatient, anxious even.
Been helpful reading all the other posts and messages on here. Tania x
Tania, have you asked on what day of the week the MDT meet? If not, that would be a good question to ask as that will give you an indicator of when you will hear. All results are presented at an MDT meeting before being given to the patient. You could also ask for the number of your CNS team as they can support you as you wait and may be able to check on timing of results. They should also be easier to contact than the secretary.
Thank you. Yes I did and it is Mondays (she said it used to be Wednesdays but they changed it to Monday) So I rang again on the Tuesday to be told the tests are still waiting in the lab and hadn’t been tested. I will ring every Tuesday. I haven’t asked for the CNS team details (yet) as the secretary is great and ringing back, plus, I’m conscious that nurses are supporting people who DO have cancer rather than me who has no idea x
Just to update: Secretary had just phoned me to let me know my results are clear! I still have pain so need to go back to GP but that’s the least of my problems.
Whilst I’m relieved , I’m now feeling a sense of guilt around this wonderful community and the amazing support I’ve had since joining. I really hope and pray that all on here will be well
Thank you xxx
