Today (15th) is Day 12 since the endometrial biopsy and another day of constantly waiting for the post to arrive … local postman thought I was waiting for Valentine’s cards to arrive yesterday See no evil Whatever the outcome, just want to know. It’s not late as it says results are usually ‘within 2 weeks’ but I’m being impatient, anxious even.

Been helpful reading all the other posts and messages on here. Tania x

  • Hi TJH

i got onto the secretary or the Cancer Nurse Specialist when I was waiting for results either email or rang them both helpful the CNS rang me with mine they had the results but the pathologist had to read it then MDT meeting and had a phone call on the evening.  I find you have to be a bit proactive it’s hard I know but that’s the best advice I can give you take care and let us know how you get on ask anything you want my profile is on here just needs a bit of update as had second chemo week yesterday I’m feeling more like writing now as had few problems with chemo but can see a bit of a light now,

    Biggest hugs

    Mo xxx

  • Hi Tania

I was told after hysterescopy I would get my results in post within 2/3 weeks but in fact received a phone call inviting me to consultant appointment the following week!

When the nurse said I could bring someone with me then I knew the results weren't good for me, however this is just my experience and I wish you the best outcome. X

  • Hi Tania, the waiting is awful and stressful -  I hear you. Were you definitely told you’d get the results by post? Do you know on which day of the week your hospital’s MDT meeting is? If you’re not aware, our results go to a team meeting before we’re told, and the meetings are usually once a week. If you phone your CNS nurses, they should be able to tell you when the meeting is and when you should hear. I got mine at a face to face appointment with my consultant.

  • Thank you so much Mo! Hoping you recover soon xx

  • Thank you Marmite Fan. No, o wasn’t told they’d write, more that I would hear so I presumed a letter! I’ve just left the secretary a voicemail xx

  • Ok bless you … I do appreciate you taking the time to connect with me. Speedy recovery to you Mad xx

  • Hi Tania, just wondered if you’d had any news?

  • Hi M, not yet, no but I did as suggested and got through to the nurse. She said they hadn’t received the tests back (2 weeks today since biopsy) and that their meetings are usually Wednesdays but they’ve changed to Mondays. So sh suggested I ring back Tues 22 or Weds 23 next week for an update. She said sometimes they phone and sometimes they write Xbox even if they havre s meeting about my results it can be because it’s of interest, not automatically cancer. So I’m still waiting but not as anxious. Thanks for asking. How are you? xx

  • Hi Tania, they'll let you know as soon as they've had their MDT. Normally your Oncologist will call you (depending on the healthcare trust) When we were in the height of Covid I did receive some news from my CNS but I believe the normal route would be your Oncologist will call you.

    Big hugs, Barb xx
