Para aortic lymph node removal

hi Francisco try not to be scared rather relieved its just one lymph node involved. it shows its just contained there and your lymph nodes are doing their job. i had a recurrence in a para ortic node 3 years after found on screening scan. i had to wait a few weeks as it was near my left kidney and needed a renal surgeon to resection it. that was 2 years ago and so far my 6 monthly scans have been clear. take heart you will be the same. big hug Kate. x

Thank you so much Kate. I feel more reassured now  Today I was told that the surgery will be 26th of this month! I hope you don’t mind my asking but is the recovery the same as for the hysterectomy? Or is it a more complicated procedure?Thank you again xxx

hi caroline im glad you dont have to hang around waiting for long. its not such a major op as hysterectomy but it all depends on how easily accessible the node is. they warned me id be sore as they had to move a few organs around to get at it. i had a catheter in and i suffered much more with bloating. recovery was faster than hysterectomy. good luck and let me know how it goes.
