Hi, I'm just wondering other people's experiences with mirena coil,
I've had it since begining of February and I'm suffering with pretty bad cramps almost daily.
I know cramping can be a side effect but I'm really getting sick of been in pain now, I thought it would of settled, I have no bleeding just slight spotting, Ibuprofen and paracetamol don't even ease the pain.
I did have it changed a week ago because the first one was either not put in properly or my body was trying to expel it.
So is it just not agreeing with me ?
Thanks
Missaurora ... good luck with whatever you choose. If you stick coil, they only have a limited lifespan before they need replacing for new ones. My mirena coil would have had a 5 year replacement cycle.
And good luck with weight. Perhaps getting help from a nutritionalist could help you learn eating right for what your body needs at this difficult time? I had amazing 1-1 free support from Penny Brohn's nutritionist throughout last year. She looks at your needs (mine was about regaining weight and managing fatigue) and gives personalised solution ideas to try - you then choose what to continue with and what to ditch. They also offer group info sessions.
