do you find when you go to the hospital for appointment check up after a few days y have menres off what happened and get flush back s Doreen
Hi Doreenw
I get flash backs all the time but I imagine that's fairly normal. I try to take the positives from these thoughts e.g. the cancer was found and removed, the radiotherapy and chemotherapy is to help it not return.
This experience is something that I'll never forget but I can make the choice to not let it drag me down. A positive attitude is helpful for recovery and that's the route I'm taking.

You're not the only one.....
I had these tips from a friend....
"Play music and keep some photos of nice things on the phone to scroll through if waiting. Try and be interested and engaged with the staff, imagine how their day might be going. If something goes well for an appointment like a bus being on time or it not raining, make a mental note of it. Also a reward for afterwards!"
It won't work for everyone but I've found it useful.
