Had a robotic hysterectomy 6 months ago and doing well no further treatment needed as stage 1 grade 1
all functions ok but I do have very tender spots near the ports when touched pressed on or leaned against
also all twinges now gone
anyone else had some tender spots at 6 months
I had a check 8 weeks ago by CNS I called her as patient led for discharge ( all normal) and all good when tummy pressed but wasn't so tender then no pain
Hi glad you’ve said that - I have tender spots too! I’m 5.5 months post surgery. Assured by CNS it’s ok - but not had a check up yet as had radiotherapy- and was slightly concerned although it has been tender since the surgery.
Hi mollysue
Glad to hear that you are doing well.
Glad that you had a check up 8 weeks ago and no signs of recurrence.
Check ups can always be a bit worrying but at the same time reassuring. I had mine last month and back again in September.
As long as you mentioned the tender spots at the check up and the nurse specifically checked for you then I think you can be reassured.
If they were checked and there has been any change then let them know.
If they weren't checked or you did not mention then I would give them a call before your next check and they may bring it forward.
Jane
Hi Travellinggirl
I also had radiotherapy and found that my tummy was quite tender afterwards for some time. As long as you have mentioned to CNS and had reassurance - that's fine. If anything changes then let your CNS know. Mine always said to let them know of any worries and they would , if needed, bring my next check forwards
Thanks Jane. Am doing my best not to worry about everything!!
Sounds reassuring, but always email or call CNS if you are worried or something doesn't feel right. I am seen every 12 weeks because things can and do sometimes change quickly. So always get checked out, if only for reassurance.
I had queer feelings, as if something was crawling around under my skin. This lasted for some time after my operation. Having had shingles previously, with the same feelings I knew it was the nerve endings. It takes time for things to settle down, but always ask if worried.
