Hi Guys, wonder if anyone else has bled after 2 months of hysteroscopy and results came back all clear?

i even wrote to the Doctor asking if-

1) we could keep an eye on my uterus and maybe do regular yearly scan?

reply was no due to funding

2)asked for a hysteretomy as no womb no worry ?

Reply was -

No ,not unless needed

3) i asked what would cause uterus to become thicker ,and they replied  that after menapause your ovaries stop producing Estrogen but you phrisarel fat can produce it and that you need a BMI under i think 25.so basically lose weight is what i got from that ?

so i've gone to the toilet tonight and there is spots of blood on the tissue, which has me scared again.I had my op Dec 13th 2022

i know iv got to go back to my doctor but has anyone else had this and will losing weight help reduce the thickness of my uterus ?

Thanks for reading x

  • I would be asking to be referred again especially if you are post menopause…if you don’t kick up a fuss nothing will get done.

im no expert but I’m sure I’ve read that losing weight will help..not always easy, I’m trying but with the stress of another PMB I’m currently waiting results of biopsy and if that is clear they will have me back to remove the polyp (again) I’ve been told that I will probably always have polyps appearing..I will be asking the question about a hysterectomy as I can’t go on keep having the worry about PMB.  I would need to lose weight first though…goodness knows what will happen if my results come back and I need one now as I’m very overweight…

I hope you get some answers soon.

  • Thank you for replying, yes im defo going back as i found a NHS site which said that  we should be offered The progesterone hormone.

In certain circumstances progesterone treatment may not be appropriate and observation without any treatment may be recommended with a further biopsy after 6 months. 3. Follow up. With all types of treatment options, you will need to have followup appointments to see if the cells are going back to normal. This is usually with a repeat endometrial biopsy or a hysteroscopy after 6 months, and again after 12 months. You may be discharged after two negative biopsies. Iv just been told no futher action and not told any of this, this is what i found doing research which is quite worrying that nothing was said to me.

Good Luck with your results though, waiting is the worst bit,and if i was you i would ask about hysterectomy too

i lost weight few years ago 2 stone in 2 months just by walking 4 miles a day and cutting back on all the things i love,so i got to get back too it,the dogs will be happy we are going for longer walks as well ;0)

  • yes everything comes down to cost,id rather pay for this than the tv licence ! glad you have been ok since your last one thoughRelaxed x

  • Hopefully they will get things sorted for you quickly x
