Hi. Just had hysteroscopy last Friday I too had thick lining. While no discussion about biopsy results, which I was told would be back in New Year, just had call about scheduling a MRI. So now full of anxiety
Hi Muse, I’d suggest you phone your consultant’s secretary to ask about the reason for the MRI - it may possibly be that results have been sent out in the post to you and been delayed because of the post strike.
Good idea. There could well be a letter as you say. Uncertain if they are in tomorrow but will try. Thank you
Hi again Muse, if no reply from your consultant’s secretary you could phone the department that phoned you to arrange your MRI and say that you don’t actually know why you’ve been called in and could they find out for you or get someone to call you.
hi sorry just seen your reply,i totally get why your full of anxiety,id be the same, but as the person suggest defo call and ask why.yep hot water bottle helps for sure. x
Cheers. Actually the MRI dept called me first thing today to schedule appointment next week. I asked about the why the MRI and she said consultants often asked for further tests …will be waiting to see.
Hi MRI department called me first thing this morning and I asked. She said further tests were often requested
Hi Muse, you may find that there’s a tendency for them to only give us all the info if we specifically ask and even push. There’s typically a bit of an underlying trend to say the minimum. When it comes to our health and medical matters, some people want to know it all and some want most of the knowledge to be with the medics and for them to take care of it all. I’m the former but not everyone Is like that. I worry less the more I know but we’re not all the same. So have a think about what you’re like and what you’d prefer.
Hi again Deb, just wanted to wish you all the best for your op this Thursday.
