Hello lovelies,
Can hardly believe I’m almost 7 weeks post op.
Finally got a copy of my histology and it was confirmed as grade 1 stage 1A so best possible outcome. Unfortunately they didn’t preserve my womb well so couldn’t look at the cells but said from the structure and biopsy previously the could grade it by that and there was no spread. I also had ovarian cysts as well as Adenomyosis so it needed to come out for sure!
I feel almost totally back to normal health wise. Some aches occasionally if I’ve done alot - for example today I’m back on the school run driving, dog walk for 45 mins over the forest then home to hang out washing in and out of the garden before I start work on my laptop then dinner, take in the shopping delivery then some more driving. So I’m aching a little at the top of my legs but this is a busy day.
We also took the kids away to a caravan park last weekend and I kept up with them fine.
I’m sleeping better and although I do get some hot flushes in the evenings they’re not increasing.
I feel good, I feel happy. I used to have to take so many painkillers just to get through the day but now it’s all gone that’s changed.
I see my consultant again in a couple of months but for now it’s business as usual being a mum and getting on with my life.
I’m so grateful for everyone who supported me here when I was in such a dark place. You are all amazing, thank you ️
Hopefully I’ll continue to feel better and better, hope you’re all well.
Alex xx
That’s great news Alex - onwards and upwards! Glad you’re doing so well and feeling so good. A gentle word of caution to try not to overdo things - especially take it easy still with the lifting, and keep up with the pelvic floor exercises to help prevent a prolapse. Thanks for sharing your good news.
Hi MarmiteFan59 is there information on this site about the pelvic floor exercises? I'm 4 weeks post op and would be interested if and when I could start these.
Hi SH53, my hospital gave me a leaflet on pelvic floor exercises post hysterectomy - if you haven’t been given one, I’d suggest giving your CNS a call as they might be able to pop one in the post or give you a link to one on-line.
