Hi lovely ladies,
I am 10 days post op and doing really well A couple of days ago I started feeling the urge to wee all the time. My wee is clear, I have no pain when I wee but I feel like I need to Wee all the time, even just after I have been for a wee. I feel that I am doing a good amount of wee each time, so don’t think it is to do with not emptying my bladder.
Do you think this is just a part of the healing process and has anyone got any advice ? I have the practise nurse ringing me later.
Thank you as always and love and hugs to everyone Em xxxx
Craft Queen. Hi Em. I do think it's part of the healing process, the bladder and bowels do seem to fight back!I think I recall NannyAnny mentioning a trick a nurse had told her to completely empty the bladder - When on the loo lift one leg and lower and the same with the other.
Hope the practise nurse calls to reassure you.
Hugs, Barb x

Thanks Barb and will try that Practise nurse thinks the same and that I have over stimulated my bladder as been doing lots of Pelvic floor exercises. She has told me to stop the pelvic floor exercises for a few days and rest. Thank you for always being here sending love n hugs xxxxx
Hi Craft Queen,
Yes, I had problems just like that , but very early on. I was only out of hospital 3 days when I had a bad night, up every 2 hours to wee, but only a thimbleful at a time. No pain. I have had cystitis in the past, but it was nothing like that.
I had a bath another day, stood up to get out and urine poured out of me uncontrollably. It was then I decided to go back to hospital. They checked me out and said it was my nerve endings knitting together, everything just settling down. I also found out after the bath incident that if I put a warm flannel over my bladder it relaxed me, and more urine came out!! I'll add that initially I had no feeling at all, and used the method Barb talks about to literally 'squeeze' urine out of me!!
You are early days in your recovery. xxx
Thank you Nannyanny for the info, it makes me feel more positive and will definitely try the warm flannel. Hope you are doing well love Em xxxx
Hi again, Just thought of something else. Because initially I couldn't feel anything, I read that you had to retrain your bladder. I went to the loo by time. First of all every two hours, then every three, etc, until my feeling came back. I think my bladder was badly bruised. I was fine after about 3 months, but it gradually sorted itself out. I'm now 4 years post op.
