Went to my GP surgery this morning to have my wound checked, 10 days post op, the nurse told me that my wound has knitted together nicely so no need for another dressing!! I can finally have a shower... Yay! No more strip washes for me!
I'm still very tired though and not much of an appetite but I keep moving forward one day at a time.

Tiredness and lack of appetite is normal, your body is telling you what it needs so take a nap when you need to and gradually up your food intake. I've just tried a snack my brother-in-law mentioned and it's scrummy. Mashed bananas on toast with cheese topping. OMG it is so "moreish" it should be banned!
