Hi all  India in and out of here because keep having tests for womb cancer last year  had a hysteroscopy and they found hyperplasia aytypia in a polyp and wanted me to have a hysterectomy but my hba1c is too high ,they wanted me to have a could but that scares me so I m on provera 10mgs 2 day is this a high dose as I seem to be having a lot of symptoms from it unless its something else

I'm scared to have a hysterectomy  because I am a big girl and frightened I will die on the operating table ,

I have had 2 clear biopsies since the hyperplasia was found  but if it was in a polyp and the polyp has gone then dosnt that mean i dot have hyperplasia anymore .

Thanks in advance

  • Hi

I'm sorry to hear how scared you are and, although I don't have similar experiences to share with you, I noticed that your post hadn't had any response.

I think we all recognise the fear of having a general anaesthetic and not waking up from the operation. However, you'd be well looked after and your surgeon would not recommend surgery if he was at all worried.

You could post your questions about the dose level and whether you still have hyperplasia in the ask a nurse section of the community. and one of the specialist nurse will try to respond within 2 working days.

    Wishing you all the best
