Hello dear friends. It's last September when I had a radical hysterectomy, then 24 sessions of radiotherapy. I had such good care in the hospital.I may have to have chemo but waiting for a scan. Then I have to decide my options. I finished my radiotherapy at the end of January. I started to feel really well.So tried to lift my daughters 15 year old labrador it couldn't get up on his own. Now my hernia that I got after the operation has got bigger and very uncomfortable. So while I am waiting for a truss from the NHS which I think I will get soon. I ordered one from Amazon to help me until the NHS truss arrives, I had such good advice from you ladies before my opperation helping me cope with the stress I was so scared..Even said not to lift anything heavy. I was so stupid i forgot. Thank you for being theire for me. I am wishing you all keep well.. Love from Adeliene

  • Hi I just noticed you hadn't had any replies.  I am sorry you are suffering with a hernia.  Labradors are big dogs to try and lift, we had one!  I must admit I was extremely careful for a very long time after surgery as I am a very anxious person and I didn't want to tempt problems but we all do things that might not have been such a good idea in retrospect!  I hope you get some relief when the truss arrives and it is more comfortable for you.

  • Hi Lesley, Thanks for your reply.  , there isn't any advice anyone can really give me. I have learnt the hard way. I just hope anyone who has had surgery to be very careful and not lift or vacuum, I am unable to lift the milk out of the fridge, but I do as much as I can I don't sit about and try and keep on my feet as much as possible, every job I do takes me such a long time.  All there very best of health to you.love from adeliene x
