I have the planning appointment today.
A nurse called yesterday and told me exactly what will happen. So although still anxious as cannot take anyone with me, I know as much as I possibly can.
Now I just have to decide if I wear head cover or not, and if I wear a mask or not.
Looking forward to the end of today.
My radiotherapy starts on 10th June. First one 10.40, I'll be given times as it goes on but will be in the morning.
I hope your appointment has gone well Nina60 There is quite a lot to take in. One amusing thing though that still amazes me is that when one of the radiographers was going through information with me she asked if there was any chance I was pregnant! I was a bit shocked and said well no, I've had a hysterectomy for cancer and I'm 62! She said 'I still have to ask'!
Hugs, Lesley xx
Department running late then they couldn't find a vein so had to go to x Ray to have cannula fitted. Just finished my bottle of water and now waiting for the scan. It's sooooo hot here. I'm sweating all over!!!
Finally home. Off to have a bath as cannula leaked and I got covered in the contrast dye which is very sticky.
