Thanks to all who sent replies . I am not very good on this site and don’t know how to reply to posts  or carry on discussions

  • Hi ,

Sorry your not sure how to work the site, if you want to post a reply say in this thread if you click reply you are taken to a message box fill in what you would like to say and click post. If when you have posted you realise you wanted to put something else in if you look at the bottom left (on screen) you have a number of options there edit/like/alert moderator ,click on more then edit and it takes you back to the post you have just posted and you can change/ add etc then click post again. If you like a post someone has written you can press the like button. If say you wanted to start a new discussion you can do as you have done now and click start a discussion which is underneath the womb cancer group name. Hope this helps.

Thank you . Sure I will get hang of it .

  • I am sure you will ,.

Another tip you will find helpful is what we call tagging this is done by pressing @ then the screen name. This will send a notification that they have been mentioned by ? The notifications are the bell icon on header line top right. For example you should have one that I have mentioned you. When you post the tagged name will be underlined and highlighted green.

  • Hi Ami,

You can't be any worse than me on a computer! And I found my way round the site just by trying things, and deleting them if they didn't work!! Everyone on here is very understanding, so don't worry if you do make a mistake. xxxxx

I have now had cystoscopy and fortunately clear in bladder and kidney . So now waiting onMRI. and  a date for hysterectomy . Does anyone else with a newish endometrial cancer diagnosis feel life on hold till get treatment and dates . I have no other symptoms apart from bleeding . Just now want to get on and have hysterectomy and be able to start recovery .
reading causes of endometrial cancer being overweight seems to be a major factor . Feel so angry with self if my lifestyle has caused this

Trying to follow discussions but only see short post can’t find where discussion started

  • Hi Ami,

Its good that your bladder and kidneys are fine. And although I am nearly 3 years post op I still remember the feeling of wanting to get it all done with NOW!!!

Don't beat yourself up about life style. Seems to me whatever you do is wrong! I think things in moderation is the way to go. I have always been at the lower end of overweight. I will never be sylph like in spite of all my trying, at times!!! I really think its pot luck if you get cancer, heart disease, diabetes, whatever. You can do things to avoid diseases, but I don't think it's worth making your life miserable.  xxxxx

    Hi Ami17,

I haven’t posted anything before. I was diagnosed beginning of January, 2020 with endometrial cancer and have since had a hysterectomy, (BSO),  last Thursday,  I thought that my reply to you may be helpful.

It’s awful waiting around whilst all the pre-op tests are done but once it gets underway it’ll soon be dealt with and you’ll feel back in control, somewhat.  Try not to blame yourself - it is as it is - as they say.  We don’t wish these things on ourselves.  I’m sure you’ll find loads of support on this site.

Please look after yourself whilst you are waiting.
