Hey all, I'm waiting on a call today from my gynae consultant to find out what's what, I've been told I have an 18cm by 15cm mass in my uterus and that the scans I've had done have thrown back more questions than answers and also there is a high chance its cancer and I'm going to have to have a radical hysterectomy, I have never been so scared in my life, I'm really struggling to keep it together just now, does anyone have any advice
Thank xxx
Hello Eeyore84, so sorry that you find yourself here, but I will say try not to second guess what results etc will be. How old are you ? and what scans and other investigations have you had already ? It is a scary time when you are waiting to be told your results and then the plan of action. I know it is so hard but do try to take one day at a time, and try not to think too far ahead (easier said then done !) this is all so very daunting but we will all be here to try and support you. I just tried to keep as busy as I could.
Take care, and let us know when you have your results please ?

No worries, yeah he did, I've to go for a colonoscopy and to meet the gynae oncologist, more waiting and more tests, no one seems to know what's what with this mass they have found, my head is spinning and I'm so frustrated at the many different things I'm being told xx
Hi Eyeore,
Sorry you find yourself here.
When I was in hospital there was a lady opposite me, in her 30's, who had just had a hysterectomy. She had a benign mass in her womb the size of an iceberg lettuce, and the only way to get it out was to operate.
So, its not always bad. Whatever it is I'm sure they will sort it out. xxxx
Hi, thank you, its all the waiting around and mind changing from the docs that's getting to me, I was told a few weeks ago it was a fibroid and surgery would be done, now I'm being told it could be cancer again and having to get yet more tests done, I know they want to make sure they are doing the right thing but the waiting weeks on end for results and more tests is really what's getting me down xxx
Hi. I think we would all agree on the forum that the waiting for tests and subsequent results is such an anxious time. But they are making sure they have everything covered, and want to make the right diagnosis. But what a dreadful time for you. I find the best thing for me is to try and keep as busy as I can, but it doesn't help in the middle of the night when all these terrible thoughts go through your head does it ?
Please keep posting, and please keep us up to date with your diagnosis if you can. I hope that you have lots of support around you ?
Take care,
LC

Hi, sorry for late reply I ended up in hospital last night, my pain level reached new heights, I was taken in by ambulance, they done blood tests and my white blood count was up, got out this morning been told to keep on top of pain relief and hopefully meet my new consultant this week,
I do have a great support network but there's times I feel I don't want to burden them with how I'm feeling which is why I joined this group too.
I hope you are keeping well and thank you for talking to me xx
