Hi all
I hope you don't mind me posting in here, but I feel I have far too many additional questions, on top of what I've put my poor consultant through already, that I wondered if anyone could possibly spare a couple of minutes to advise on?
To keep it sweet, I'll bullet point where I am and how I got to this point:
Due for smear April last year, but GP wanted me to have my investigations done at same time at the hospital, so that's why I'm so late in finally getting it done.
Been referred for a hysteoscopy 21st Feb
During my smear, I felt such pain (despite having gas and air) during it. I can only describe it as a burning sensation, but apparently at the time of that happening, the nurse wasn't actually doing anything! Anyone else experienced that before, as I never have, and what could be the reason?
I'm not in a sexual relationship so unsure if I would suffer pain during, and wondered if others experienced similar burning during smear and intercourse?
I know I live in la la land, but I never get scares whilst undergoing investigations, so I don't want people feeling the need to sugar coat. I am aware of the worse case, and until that's confirmed, I really am not worrying. I found a lump in my breast the other month, which turned out to be a few cysts, and during the whole process, despite me fearing the worse, I never felt anxious or worried (which is weird for someone diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder and OCD...the irony!)
I haven't lost any weight, other than through dieting, and Xmas has put pay to that...oops. I do suffer odd bout of constipation, but I have a slow gut transit, as diagnosed 2 years ago.
Any help, advise or similar situations, would be much appreciated.. .and to all of you, I truly hope you are all doing well, and want to see I'm full of admiration for the strength in which you all show....a credit to the human race
Heya,
Just posting with the first thing that popped into my head as I was reading.
I was just wondering if you've been tested to see if you're starting an early menopause?

I have no medical training, everything I post is an opinion or educated guess. It is not medical advice.
Hi Lass
Lovely to hear from you, and thank you so much for taking the time in reading, and replying, my post.
I did ask about menopause to my GP (around 3 times!) And she keeps saying I'm too young (she's probably never hear of an early menopause then!)

I had a change in my periods in my early 40s. They got a lot heavier and smelt stronger. Told by GP can often happen with hormonal changes around that time although I had menopause in early 50s as usual eventually. Few years later had internal ultrasound which revealed heavy fibroids.
Hi Nightingale 19
Hope you are ok? Thank you for your reply.
This was another option I had thought of. Just the waiting....it'll be 2 years in June since I visited my GP.
Hopefully, 21st Feb may shed a little more light on things
