Hello, it's Caroline, I haven't been on here for quite a while (computer problems )
It's been a couple of years since diagnosis with Grade 3 Serous Carcinoma stage 2. I had surgery, chemo , radiotherapy & brachytherapy. Apart from a short break I've been having 4 monthly ct scans. My lymph nodes have been swollen but stable. I found out today that one iliac lymph has grown by 3 mm since August. This has frightened me (terrified of recurrence) I'm being scanned again in 3 months time. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this happening? Thank you x
Hi Francisco I was type 1 endometrial cancer grade 2 stage 3 in 2016. I was having six monthly scans when they noticed a paraortic lymph node was little more prominent than the previous scan. It was decided to wait another six months and it had got a bit bigger. A petscan confirmed a recurrence. There was much debate what to do about it as it was very near my kidney which ruled out RT so in the end I had it removed by a urologist. I understand your terror of a recurrence, initially I was disappointed because I'd made the 3 year mark and started to feel out of the woods but was relieved that it could be removed which it was successfully. Maybe you will be the same, I hope so.
