Hello Ladies, I had my 6 monthly checkup yesterday and it’s delighted to say it went well. I actually saw my consultant and I was very impressed that he’d actually read my notes before he called me in! He’s pleased with how things are going, 2yrs 9months on from treatment. That was good news to brighten up what has been an incredibly stressful few months caring for elderly parents. I’m not going to be on the forums as much over the next few weeks as we still have to give a lot of time in that direction, but I will be popping in from time to time , commenting occasionally and responding to PMs.
Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful Christmas and every blessing for the year ahead. Lots of love and gentle hugs, Fairycake x

Hello Fairycake
So glad to hear that you have had positive news and can hopefully enjoy the Christmas season. Sorry to hear that you are having a stressful time caring for elderly parents. I experienced a difficult few years caring for my father until he passed away a year ago (at 101!) and I found the Carers UK forum very useful. Much like this one, you can rant and rave and let off steam to others who are going through the same thing and there is always lots of useful advice, both practical and emotional. I recommend it: https://www.carersuk.org/help-and-advice/get-support/carersuk-forum
With all good wishes for 2020.
