  • Good morning , so sorry that your mother in law has Alzheimer's but I am frilled to hear she is being well looked after in a care home now, and even better its close to where she was living and  as you say having the same hairdresser and doctor it all helps and reduces their stress. Yes you have indeed had a huge learning curb, but you know when all this keeps happening around us we learn to find the little things in life are so important and take on a different path. I am sure you will enjoy spending some time with your niece at nandos.

  • Good morning , here's hoping you get your chemo arranged very soon, having a positive attitude does help and being prepared for the hair loss I hope will help you get though it. You can some amazing wigs these days and as the days are cold some nice hats will be very useful.

  • Hi - got the result of my lung nodule scan this morning.  No change in the nodule since the original scan in Nov 2019.   The letter describes this as "reassuring" but they will schedule another scan in Nov 2020 in line with national guidelines apparently.    Good luck with your scan next week and I hope you get the same result.    It sounds like you have a lot on your plate looking after your Mum at the moment.  I hope the fatigue isn't too bad?

    - how was Paris??  I hope you had a wonderful time with lots of lovely food and wine.   Is it next week you have your first brachy session?  Hope it goes as well as these things can.  We'll all be thinking of you.

    xx

Not looking forward obviously but has to be done! Got a book to read, games to play & there’s a tv in the room so I’ll get there! Thanks for asking! X Carol

    Hi everyone

well here I am having my first of 2 mammoth sessions of brachytherapy. 14 hours!!! Done 2 already but have an overwhelming urge to pass water even though I have a catheter. Otherwise, apart from lying stationery for 14 hours, bit of discomfort but no pain. Staff are absolutely lovely & I was given a really nice goody bag containing lots of toiletries, sweets etc. So nice!!! I can do do this!!!!! Carol
