I decided to start a thread for any arts and crafts you do and want to share. I know I post in others but I just wanted to share how much its helping to calm my mind and would definitly recommend everyone having a go. You don't have to be prefect just happy with your own achievement. Its Daloni that actually gave me this idea for a thread with her wonderful things she makes. So here is our very own girls.
My latest project...
I have done the shading but I think I may add some colour maybe watercolor not totally decided yet.
Wow , this is stunning you can really feel yourself being actually there in this painting. Yes I agree that sometimes its the little things in life that are so important. There is so much natural beauty out there, what a fabulous work.
What a lovely picture, TeddysMum,
Is it a made up picture or of somewhere you know?It reminds me of the Northumberland coast! xx
At the beginning of lock down I decided I needed something to keep me busy. My neice is having a little girl in August, so I sent off for some wool on the internet and have made 3 little cardigans and a pram blanket. I've taken my time, and the pram blanket was very tricky. It was undone several times. It was the kind of pattern if you went wrong, you couldn't work out why, or fix it because it was so lacy!!
Aww NannyAnny, they are so delightful . She will love them. Is it her first baby? My daughter is due at the end of September/October but doesn't know what she's having...they like a surprise. She has a daughter already, 16 months and into everything! God bless. Lamb.xx
Thank everyone for your kind comments. NannyAnny, yes it is Northumberland. I'm a member of a Facebook group which is all about posting photos of the Northumbrian Coast and this painting was done based on a photo by one of the members....I think it was Seaton Sluice beach.
Hi Little lamb,
Yes, it is her first baby. I'm quite glad neither of my girls wanted to know the sex of their babies beforehand. I do think it takes some of the excitement away! I thought I was done knitting for babies, so it was a welcome surprise. xxxx
Hi TeddysMum,
I feel quite proud of that guess!!! Although we live on the south coast, we've spent a lot of time in Northumberland, mainly around Alnwick, where we have relations. It remonded me of the area around Dunstanburgh castle.
