Thought i would share my latest creation with you. Knitted whilst having my 6 chemo sessions. It's a really old fashioned pattern which I picked up in the Salvation Army charity shop which I thought had potential to be brought up to date 

This is really very beautiful . It also looks like it would be very warm too.

I wish it would fit me it’s so beautiful and stylish lucky baby!

Kircal, that's wonderful! Must admit I wouldn't do the legging/ tights but the jacket is fab. Is the border knitted with the garment  or  picked up and knitted separately afterwards. These  tradional matinee coats seem to be making a comeback at the moment. My daughters' have requested them in preference to more modern cardigans for their friends babies. x

That is lovely, my friend has similar little coats for her baby, the recipient will love it.

The border could have all been knitted with the main matinee coat if I hadn't decided to do it in a different colour. As it was I had to knit it and stitch it together where needed. At one point I was cursing the two tone effect because of this but I'm pleased with the end result.  

I can't imagine anyone these days putting their baby in the leggings!  They look ridiculous and itchy
